What happens if windows corrupts?
hey I'm new to guildwars and not very technical with computers either...
I'm just wondering that if i install guildwars the shop keeper told me only one pc per install key is allowed... sooo what happens if i happen to have to install windows again and delete all of my guildwars files, will my install key still work? also i got some bonus key as well, will that work on my new version of windows.
Thanks, Jarge.

Yeah you can still use it. What he means is that you can't say put it on two computers and use it at the same time.

No, the shopkeeper was simply incorrect. The guildwars key is used for creating an account. You can install the client on as many computers as you want, in fact, it is available for a free download on the website. Your account will always be accessible so long as you have the username and password, and this is what the key was for, creating that account.

Gimme Money is right the shop[ keeper is wrong. Install the client on as many computers as you want to it will not make a difference. The key-code is locked to your account not to your computer. You cannot make 2 accounts with the same code, thats all.

This is just further proof that you cannot trust half the shit people say in computer stores. I simply cannot count the number of times I overheard a clerk telling something to someone that was blatantly wrong.. I have even gotten into arguments with clerks, when I corrected them in front of a customer, and they got defensive and insisted they were right, when I know for certain they were 100% wrong. It's very frustrating.

Wow, thats just flat out wrong. He might have meant you can only have one account per key, but whatever. The key has nothing to do with installing the client, just making an account. In fact, once you make an account, you can use it from one of your friends computers who has guild wars. I do it all the time.

The clerk may mean what you have stated to be true, but may select the wrong terminology and end up misconstruing the message. On the contrary, many are trained to "mislead" in order to move product. After all, BS sells.

That is correct EXCEPT for games that utilize/are played thruu online accounts (every mmorpg basically).
With GW you only need to remmember your account details (as lots of people already have said).
